Meet Scarlett

So it's been a while since my last post! Very sorry for that... I've been super busy with work and my other work - my dog collars. So just a quick post. I know this is a dog blog, but I just had to show off my beautiful cat Scarlett.

She's an absolutely beautiful, eight year old cat that I found at six months of age as a stray. She has the best personality... outgoing, friendly and she actually comes when she's called! A very rare trait for a cat. I just love her to pieces.

organic is going to the dogs

Around my house, we're all jumping aboard the organic bandwagon. Until recently, it was rather difficult to find organic products for dogs, but the four dogs at my house have been dining on organic food and bathing with organic shampoo.

But now Orvis is carrying a new line of organic dog toys. In addition to the fact that they're really cute, these dog toys are saliva resistant, made from (and stuffed with) pure unbleached, untreated, and unprocessed cotton, and colored using an organic dye process. So they're good for your dog AND the environment.

ummm, NO

I have nothing to say other than this... I love my dogs, spoil them rotten, most people think I'm the crazy dog lady, but NO: http://www.doggieidos.com/.

the first litter

With the recent Independence Day holiday, it got me thinking about my July 4th two years ago. That was the day that the fabulous Miss Mona Mae gave birth to her litter of puppies.

I had discovered her scrounging for food at the Burger King dumpster. A couple of days later, my vet told me she was pregnant. I had never had a litter of puppies before, but I had already fallen in love with the sweet little black dog that was to become my constant companion.

Her puppies were born starting at 1am on the Fourth of July. Six little ones made their debut that day, so I just wanted to take a minute and wish them happy birthday!

Sweet Henry... he looked like a little cow!

Baby Truman was the runt of the litter

fourth of july

So I made the girls a couple of patriotic seersucker collars for the fourth of july. They turned out pretty well I thought. Mona and Penny seemed to like them. Don't you just love Mona Mae's sexy, sultry modeling face she's using in the shot below?

cuteness

Adorable letterpressed thank you cards from Linda & Harriett...

Even if you're not a stationery nut like me, I think you'll find this to be a great investment.
